How to Delete Your Account and User Data (BD)

This guide refers to the Body Diary (BD) app. The app might have a different name on the app store, depending from the region and language, but it is always uniquely identified by its package id “com.selantoapps.bodydiary” and it is published here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.selantoapps.bodydiary.

Your privacy is our priority. Follow the steps below to delete your account and any associated data:

1. Delete Account Data from App and Online Backup:

  • Open the Body Diary app.
  • Open the main menu by tapping on your avatar (top left corner from home screen)
  • Open the Settings page.
  • Scroll to the bottom and select the option labeled “Reset”.
  • Confirm the action. This will remove your user account data from both your device and online backup (if linked enabled). If online backup was not enabled, it will delete data only from your device. You can control the online backup status in the same page, just scroll up till the card “Auto Backup & Sync”.

2. Delete Data from Analytics, Crash Reporting, and Advertisements:

While our app utilizes analytics, crash reporting, and advertising services, we are committed to ensuring you can erase your data footprint from these platforms. The details of these services and the data retention times are outlined in our privacy policy.

To delete this data:

  • Go to the app’s Help screen.
  • Scroll to the bottom and tap on Contact Us. This action will auto-fill an email draft with your app user ID.
  • Ensure the sender’s email matches the email address you used during the app registration.
  • Write in the email body that you want to have your data removed without altering the rest of the email.
  • Send it and wait for a confirmation from our side.

Upon receipt, we will verify your identity using the app user ID and the email address. Once verified, we will proceed to delete your data from our third-party services.

Note: It’s essential to send your request from the registered email address to validate its authenticity.

3. Web-Based Account and Data Deletion Requests:

In addition to our in-app account deletion options, we also provide a web-based resource for users who wish to delete their accounts and associated data. Please visit https://selantoapps.com/web-based-account-and-data-deletion-requests/ to submit a deletion request online. Upon receiving your request, we will process it promptly and confirm the deletion of your account and any associated data. This service ensures that you can manage your data conveniently, whether you choose to do so via our app or through our website.
